We need your help...

Dear Family and Friends of Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir,

It gives me great pleasure to write this letter as the new Music Director of Pennsylvania Girlchoir. I am impressed with the dedication and professionalism of our youngest 7 and 8 year olds all the way up to our oldest boys and girls in the Graduate and Motet Choirs. I am also grateful for the financial support of our many friends and family members.

Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir believe in choral excellence, human growth and development in the arts, as well as nurturing leadership in our members and promoting their participation in the enrichment of our community. We also believe that singing should be joyful and fun for the choir members as well as the audience. We provide a wide variety of choral opportunities for these young men and women, including diverse performances that allow the choir members to grasp the true meaning of ensemble singing in its highest form. Weekly rehearsals are designed to better their musicianship and vocal skills in preparation for multiple performances each year. Through it all, the boys and girls develop life long friendships and a rich sense of community that goes beyond their academic and musical experience in school. We are unique.

As the boys and girls grow in this musical process, it is up to us, as a community, to help them achieve their goals. Their growth and development, through participation in Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir, is made possible because of your generous financial support. We strive to keep tuition low and affordable to all families. Tuition pays for only 1/3 of the actual cost of membership. When you financially support the choirs, you can take credit for strengthening the experience of the choir members, building our community, and building the arts community in the Greater Philadelphia area! Every person counts and every contribution matters. Even a modest donation can pay for folders or a piece of music. One modest contribution can be like a sixteenth note in a Bach aria. It might be small, but when it’s missing, you notice.

It means a great deal to us at Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir that our family and friends continue to be very generous, year after year. Whether increasing your gift from last year, maintaining your giving level, or making a first time gift, it matters. Yes, it makes a difference in our annual budget, but more importantly, it makes a difference for our boys and girls. The price of renting a truck to move risers for a performance, $150. The price of one piece of music for every child in the choir, $600. The price of how you feel when you make a difference…………… beyond words.

Sincerely,
Vincent Metallo
Music Director
Pennsylvania Girlchoir
